MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Like surprises? Apple has one for you! It’s a new app designed to help you invite people to parties and other events.
Apple Invites allows you to create and easily share invitations for your next housewarming, going-away, or open house party.
Getting started is simple: after downloading the app, just choose an image. You can either upload one from your photo library or select a picture from the app’s gallery of backgrounds.
Next, fill in the details of your event. The app is integrated with Apple Maps and Weather, providing directions to the event and the forecast for the day.
Guests can easily add pictures and videos to the event with the shared album feature, making it interactive and fun.
Apple Invites appears to be in direct competition with Partiful, an event planning app that’s also free to use, like Evite and Paperless Post.
What sets Apple Invites apart is its integration with Apple intelligence, which is said to enhance the invitation experience. You can not only share pictures but also music playlists through Apple Music.
The timing of this release is significant; statistics show that Americans are in a party deficit, with only 4% having attended or hosted a social event recently.
Apple Invites is an iPhone only app and it’s free to download for iCloud + subscribers. However, you don’t need an iCloud + subscription to RSVP, or an Apple device to reply to an invitation.
