Apple TV+ is entering the year 2025 on a positive note. The streaming giant, known for its selection of acclaimed original movies and television shows, is making its extensive catalog available for free for a short time only. During the first weekend of 2025, from January 4 to 5, the streamer will be giving everyone free access to its original content, including hits like For All Mankind, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, Severance, Bad Sisters, and a whole lot more.
On X (formerly Twitter), Apple TV+ announced that all of its original content will be available for free on the first weekend of 2025. Though two-day free access to a platform that offers a wide array of choices might not be enough for everyone, the latest offer is available on top of the streamer’s seven-day free trial for new users and a one-month free trial when purchased via the Apple One Bundle. That gives new subscribers enough time to familiarize themselves with the platform’s slew of offerings before ultimately deciding to pay for a subscription on a monthly basis.
Apple TV+ Is a Tough Newcomer in the Streaming Wars
Although Apple TV+ has been offering great content since its official launch back in 2019, the streaming service is still relatively new compared to its rival streamers, which are already huge in the streaming industry. However, it has immediately established itself as one of the best streaming services available today, with a number of its content receiving significant recognitions, including CODA — an Apple TV+ original comedy-drama that has won Best Picture at the Oscars. Apple TV+ is, of course, widely known for its television shows, but it has also been impressing audiences and critics with its original films. This includes the Martin Scorsese-directed crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon and the Brad Pitt and George Clooney-led action comedy Wolfs. Some of the streamer’s best feature films include The Velvet Underground, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Swan Song, Causeway, Bread & Roses, Blitz, and more.
While the streaming service has made a name for itself on the movie side, it takes greater pride in its immense television series offerings that include critically acclaimed shows like Acapulco, Bad Sisters, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, and Snoopy in Space. Everything from drama and comedy to horror and thrillers, Apple TV+ is — safe to say — a streamer that keeps on giving. Some of the platform’s best shows include The Morning Show, Servant, Silo, Pachinko, Little America, Home Before Dark, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet, The Afterparty, and Shining Girls, among others.
Stream all this and more for free on January 4 and 5.
