Apple's new iPad Air is here!

There’s something in the air, and it’s not love! It’s Apple’s latest iPad. After teasing this device on Monday, Apple has finally announced its latest pseudo-premium tablet. Among the devices the company unveiled, it took the wraps off of the 2025 iPad Air.

This announcement was pretty surprising, as last year’s iPad Air launched less than a year ago. It hit the market in May 2024, so, we’re wondering what this new device has that will make it different from last year’s model.

Apple announces the 2025 iPad Air with a spec bump

As with any year-over-year iteration, this new tablet comes with a more powerful chip. Apple fitted this device with an Apple M3 chip. This puts it behind last year’s M4 iPad Pro. Still, you should expect some powerful performance.

In typical Apple fashion, the company compared it to a much older model. It said that you’ll get double the speed of the M1-powered iPad Air. Leave it to Apple to compare its latest device to a three-year-old offering! So, you shouldn’t expect a notable increase over last year’s tablet.

However, what makes this device significant isn’t the hardware but the software. Apple announced that the new iPad Air will come with Apple Intelligence. That’s good to hear because there are some amazing features coming down the line. While we haven’t seen the more impressive features yet, they’re going to land… some day.

The new iPad Air comes in two sizes, 11 inches and 13 inches. The 11-inch model starts at $599 for the 128GB model. The other prices are: $699/256GB, $899/512GB, and $1,099/1TB.

As for the 13-inch model, this one starts at $799 for the 128GB model. The prices are $899/256GB, $1,099/512GB, and $1,299/1TB. You can put in your pre-order now. General sales will kick off on March 12th.
