In the latest update, we learn that Samsung will be the OLED supplier, with the design of the smartphone said to be a ‘book style’ one instead of the clamshell form factor.
As for the glass cover, this part will most likely be provided by Corning, with Amphenol expected to deliver the hinges of the foldable iPhone. Apple has previously sourced MacBook hinges from the same company, but on this occasion, these parts will be for a completely different product. The report also mentions that one of the biggest differentiating qualities of the foldable iPhone will be the lack of display crease.
It appears that Apple wants to set itself apart from the competition, but even if these claims are true, we firmly believe that the crease will be visible when light is reflected on it.
