We’re talking about mobility this week; that is, how people get around the city to their jobs, schools, medical appointments, stores and service providers, and more. We asked you on Monday, how has transportation availability and access changed over the last 5 years?

Fully 50% of respondents believe we’re worse off for transportation options than we were in 2020. Another 33% don’t think anything has changed. Just 16% indicated any improvement.

Why do taxis, rideshares, and functioning buses seem like unsolvable problems for Owen Sound? We take a look at the past five years of policy, public feedback, and stalled progress—and issue a challenge to City Council and the Police Services Board to experience the system themselves.
