ASUS revealed its Snapdragon-powered Vivobooks at CES 2025

CES has finally kicked off, and we’re already seeing some amazing announcements so far. Among the companies making waves was ASUS. The popular tech brand just unveiled its Vivobook 14 and Vivobook 16 at the event. These are laptops running the latest and greatest that Qualcomm has to offer.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon X chips have been making waves in the tech industry for reversing the negative perception that we’ve had about Windows on Snapdragon. We have to admit that earlier attempts to run desktop software on ARM-based chips were rather rough. Well, Qualcomm brought us some compelling chips, and it’s been gathering partnership left and right.

ASUS unveils its new Vivobooks during CES

These computers are some pretty capable devices. They’ve got enough power to run your life. These’s a bunch of power coming from the Snapdragon X chip. While not a powerful as the Snapdragon X Elite, it can still breeze through whatever you through at it. You’ll just have to keep in mind what sorts of things you plan to do.

Backing up the Snapdragon chip, you’ll have 16GB of RAM ad 512GB of storage. That’s pretty robust and more than enough for most users. Most power users might find this insufficient, however. Regardless, ASUS says these computers are 44% more powerful than their predecessors. That’s a significant jump. This is especially true because they’re not using the most powerful Snapdragon X chip on the market.

Moving onto the display, you’re looking at a 1920 x 1200 display with a modest 60Hz refresh rate. Next, both models come with two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack.

While the hardware is impressive enough, it’s what’s under the hood that the company wants to focus on. These aren’t just regular computers, they’re (wait for it…) Copilot+ computers! This means that they have Microsoft’s suit of AI features. Since the Snapdragon X was designed with AI in mind, you know that you’ll be able to use some powerful AI features on-device. So, if you’re into AI, then you’ll love these computers.

The Vivobook 14 and 16 are priced pretty competitively. The 14-inch version will run you back $700, and the 16-inch model will only run you $750.
