ASUS announces the Zenbook A14 at CES
We’ve seen some rather thin laptops come out over the years, and that’s for a good reason. They minimize the space they use while maximizing productivity. Macbook Air users have had this luxury for years, it looks like Apple should watch its back.
Coming in at about a half pound lighter than the current Macbook Air, the Zenbook A14 is the perfect travel companion if you’re looking to get work done on the go. It uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon X and Snapdragon X Elite chips, depending on the configuration you choose. While you lose compatibility with several popular apps, you gain some powerful AI prowess. If you’re into Microsoft Copilot, then you’ll feel right at home, These chips can handle some serious on-device AI computations.
As for the screen, you’re looking at a 14-inch OLED panel that looks amazing. So, if you want to either create or consume content, you’ll have the perfect display to do so. The display is great, and it will stay on for up to 32 hours on a single charge. Your mileage will vary, of course.
Moving on to the ports, the ASUS Zenbook A14 has a USB-A port, two USB-C, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a headphone jack. That’s enough for most people to get along, especially if they’re working on the go.
Depending on the model you get, you’ll either have 16GB of RAM or 32GB of RAM. The former will use the Snapdragon X Plus while the latter will use the Snapdragon X Elite. While there are two versions, they still come with a 1080p camera, Wi-Fi 7, and Dolby Atmos.
The Snapdragon X Plus version will run you $900, which is a reasonable price. Next, the Snapdragon X Elite model costs $1,100, another reasonable price.
