Sennheiser HD800S

How about something truly ridiculous. These, the Sennheiser HD 800 S are my reference headphones of choice. They are an absolute monster, looking like a kind of scafold on your head. They sound excellent however — although you’d hope so for $1,699.

Except at the moment they’re not $1,699. Thanks to a $310 discount, you can pick up the incredibe audiophile headphones for $1,389. Just remember you’ll likely need a powerful DAC or headphone amp to run these monsters. They demand a lot of power.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 review

If you’re in the UK and looking for a great deal on headphones, then I’ve got just the thing. When new, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 came to £399. Now, thanks to a massive deal on Amazon, you can find the headphones for just £179. That’s a new lowest price.

I enjoyed my time with the Sennheiser Momentum 4 a great deal. They’re comfortable, they sound great, and the noise canceling is very good as well. They don’t fold so the carry case is a bit large, but they’re still an excellent noise canceling option.

Beats Solo Buds out of the case in front of some dumbbells

Our Fitness Editor, James Frew, won’t stop going on about the Beats Solo Buds. He reckons they’re the best value workout headphones at their usual price of $79.99.

Well, there’s no doubt now either, as the Beats Solo Buds are down to just $49 right now at Amazon. The buds don’t have noise cancellation, but bring some of the range’s top features to an affordable set of workout headphones.

The in-ear fit is pretty good too. James found that they only slipped a little on an incredibly hot, sweaty summer’s day, but otherwise stayed tightly in place. And, importantly, they work just as well on Android as they do on iPhone (for once).

Beats Solo Buds: was $79 now $49 @ Amazon

Jlab Jbuds Lux headphones on a table

How about some budget over-ears to get things really going. The JLab Jbuds Lux are great pair of low-cost noise canceling over ears with a comfortable fit and a cool look. They sound much better than their low price would suggest as well, with a well balanced sound signature that’ll please anyone with a taste for bass.

They’re also very well priced — even better now that Black Friday is here. This deal brings them down to just $46.

The Editor's Choice Sony WH-1000XM4

Sony’s previous generation flagships are still excellent, and in some ways better than the new version. For one, the case is better. It doesn’t squish like the XM5s protective case, and it is smaller thanks to the headphones folding frame. I love my XM4s even now, and their noise canceling holds up very well against the current crop of ANC over-ear headphones.

The WH-1000XM4 are now at their lowest price ever at Amazon, thanks to a $100 discount. You can pick up a pair now for $198.

Sony WH-1000XM4: was $348 now $198 @ Amazon

Sennheiser HD600S2

How about something wired? The only way to get the best sound possible is to get a pair of wired headphones that connect directly to your audio source. The HD660S2 are the reasonably priced reference headphone, and you can get a pair at the moment for a great price in the Black Friday sale.

Usually, they cost $599, but thanks to an incredible $150 discount, you can get them for $440 for the new lowest price ever.

Soundcore Anker Liberty 4 NC held in hand

The Soundcore Liberty 4 NC are a great little pair of budget buds, with some surprisingly effective ANC. There are other premium features on board, including Spatial Audio and EQ customization.

My favorite thing though are the colors. They come in a fetching pink, which I am a particular fan of. There’s currently a $40 discount to bring them down to their lowest price ever.

Liberty 4 NC: was $99 now $59 @ Amazon

Sony WH-1000XM5

Sony’s top-of-the-line headphones also have a great deal at the moment. There’s a $100 saving, bringing them down to their lowest price ever. If you head over to Amazon, you can buy the WH-1000XM5 for just $298. They’re our favorite pair of headphones around, and well worth picking up in this deal.

They’re super comfortable thanks to their soft earcups and light weight, and Sony’s audio tuning means they sound excellent as well. This deal is on all the color options.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones outside with TG deals badge

Don’t want to spend loads of money on the more expensive Bose QuietComfort model? Get similar noise canceling at a much lower price with the QuietComfort headphones. At the moment, they are $199 instead of $349 for the new lowest price ever in the Black Friday sales.

They’re a comfortable pair of headphones with some great sound, lightweight construction, and quick charging. It would be nice if they lasted longer than 24 hours though.

Beast Studio Buds Plus in their charging case held in reviewer's hand in an outdoor setting

The Beats Studio Buds Plus, the upgraded version of the Studio Buds, brought some key upgrades to the formula. The noise canceling is excellent, they super compact and comfortable, and they sound much better than a $150 earbud should. The controls are some of the best bits though — they are small clicky buttons and they work a load better than the normal touch controls.

I also really like the size and shape of the case. It fits perfectly into my pocket, and doesn’t dig into my leg thanks to its slimness. This $40 discount brings them close to their lowest price ever.

Beats Studio Buds Plus: was $169 now $129 @ Amazon

Sonos Ace deals

If you care about Spatial Audio, you’re probably familiar with Sonos. It’s implementation of the standard has been stellar across its range of audio devices, and that includes its first foray in wireless headphones. The Sonos Ace, as a result, have some of the best Dolby Atmos sound of any pair of headphones that I’ve ever used.

I also really like the way that they sound, and their light weight makes them comfortable for long periods of time. One of their coolest features is the quick switch between TV audio and headphones, if you’ve got a compatible Sonos soundbar. This $100 discount brings them down to their lowest price ever.

Sonos Ace: was $449 now $349 @ Amazon

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX headphones in an open case on picnic bench

Black Friday isn’t just a great tme to pick a pair of reduced budget buds, but also a solid period for finding massive deals on the most premium headphones around. The BeoPlay HX are some of the nicest looking, feeling and sounding headphones that money can buy, and you’ll currently find a pair for $200 in the Black Friday sales.

With perhaps the best carrying case in the business and incredible construction, the HX are a divine pair of cans that feel like they’re worth every penny of their high price. I’d say that at $399, they’re even a better buy than the AirPods Max.

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX: was $599 now $399 @ Amazon

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro

How about something for the Samsung fans out there? Galaxy users will love the feature set of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The headline feature is the AI integration, thanks to Samsung’s Galaxy AI. That means cleverer ANC, more smart features, and better Spatial Audio.

The core buds are great too. They sound excellent, with hybrid sound modes, great soundstage, and a comfortable fit. This deal brings them down to their lowest ever price, with a $60 discount.

Bests Studio Pro with deals tag

The Beats Studio Pro represent the best that Beats has to offer in the over-ear headphones game, and they’re a wonderful option should you want something fashionable. They’ve got a surprisingly subtle look, with delicate metal accents and matte plastic, and they’re surprisingly compact for a pair of over-ear headphones.

The sound is good, and the noise canceling is solid. My ears did get a little sweaty while I was testing them, but they’re overall a great headphone option.

Beats Studio Pro: was $349 now $159 @ Amazon

Image of Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones held aloft outside with Epic Deals tag

When you want to block as much noise as possible, your best option is a pair of Bose headphones — and there are none better than the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones. I’ve not experienced silent bliss like I have when listening to music than with the QuietComfort Ultra headphones. The outside world melts into nothing, letting my favorite tunes take over.

They sound good too, and while 24 hours of battery might not be quite as good as the competition, they’ll still last you plenty long enough for a long haul flight. Or, indeed, your continuously delayed commute train.
