Samsung has gone lighter this year and shrunken down the Galaxy S25 to make it thinner at just 7.2mm, and reduce its weight to 162g. Given how their phones are known for their weight, especially in comparison to other manufacturers, the shift to a lighter and more compact phone is much needed. The only trade-off here is in handling, as is expected with a flatter phone design, especially since Samsung hasn’t made any major durability upgrades beyond the aluminum build.
Without textured materials or a different coating, it’s likely to be just as smooth and slippery as previous models, even though Samsung says it’s much more enhanced.
