EcoFlow’s Power Hat makes solar charging fashionable.
The EcoFlow Power Hat is one of those products that you see at a show like CES and at first, you wonder, “how useful would that really be for me?” Then because it’s cool you saunter over to check it out and realize just how useful it is.
EcoFlow looked at the modern state of charging your on-the-go devices and asked itself the question of why we should carry extra things to charge our stuff when we could just as easily wear the power source. Enter the EcoFlow Power Hat. A multi-functional piece of clothing that takes the power of the very sun and lets you harness it for your own ends.
What’s cool about this hat compared to other solar products is that you wear it. There are no large, foldable panels that you have to unfold (although you can fold this down for storage). Just a hat you put on your head. Leaving you with more room in your bag or pack and no large panels to worry about carrying.
The EcoFlow Power Hat powers your devices and keeps your head dry
We love a good multi-functional product here at Android Headlines. So when we saw that EcoFlow‘s hat was not just fitted with lots of little solar panels, but that it also has an IP65 rating, we were pretty excited. Now you’ve got a product that charges your small devices off of solar power, that you can also wear while it does this, and it’s waterproof. So your head stays dry. And, of course, so the solar panels don’t get damaged.
That’s a really nifty trait to have for the weekend outdoor enthusiast. What makes the charging aspect even better is that it has 360-degree coverage. The solar panels line the brim of the hat all the way around. So no matter which way you’re facing, they’re still going to pick up those sun rays.
Charge your devices over the course of a few hours
We suspect this will probably depend on what devices you’re charging. That being said, EcoFlow says the Power Hat can charge your phone in just a few hours. Keep in mind, that’s likely a few hours of hiking, camping or just being outside in the sun. As you obviously need to be in the sun for the solar panels to do their job. Phones with larger battery capacities may obviously need more time too. However, being able to charge your devices in this way, without having to carry yet another tech device, is great.
It simplifies the process. So all you need is a cable and your phone. Or whatever you’re trying to charge. Plus, the hat has two ports. So you can charge two devices at once. EcoFlow has a winner on its hands here. These are the reasons why the EcoFlow Power Hat has been awarded the Best of CES 2025 award from Android Headlines this year.
