The OnePlus 13 was announced as part of CES 2025, with a bunch of improvements
The OnePlus 13 is a bit more expensive than its predecessor, but it also brings a number of improvements. It’s one of the best smartphones we’ve had the chance to use. OnePlus improved the cameras, the water resistance, the design, and more. Thanks to the micro quad-curved setup on the front and back, you do get a flat display, but also a phone that is very comfortable to hold and use.
Three colors of this handset have been announced, but the Midnight Ocean stole our hearts. Not only because of the way it looks but because it’s the only one that has vegan leather on the back. It offers a lot more grip than the other two models. This handset not only looks great, but it packs a punch. It’s fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the most powerful chip that Qualcomm has to offer.
It has a large silicon-carbon battery and supports blazing-fast charging
OnePlus didn’t really cut corners spec-wise, as you’re getting plenty of RAM and storage, not to mention a large 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. On top of that, 100W wired charging is on offer (80W in the US), along with 50W wireless charging. Both reverse wired and wireless charging is also supported. The alert slider is included on the left-hand side, so you do get that convenience too. OnePlus also improved the in-display fingerprint scanner, the ultrasonic one that is now included is immensely fast and accurate.
To round up the offering, OnePlus also introduced several magnetic cases for the device, compelling ones. The company also announced a new wireless charging which is aimed at gamers. The OnePlus 13 is a complete package, and it’s also more affordable than most of its competitors. Consider this device if you’re in the market for a high-end smartphone.
