Best of CES 2025: Swippitt Instant Power System

Swippitt’s Instant Power System makes sure your phone never needs to be charged.

A company named Swippitt managed to become one of the biggest surprises of this year’s CES. The company’s Instant Power System managed to surprise us enough to send one of our CES 2025 awards Swippitt’s way. This toaster-looking gadget really does offer more than meets the eye, as it can keep your phone charged up at all times, basically, without you having to plug it in or wait for it to charge.

Swippitt surprised everyone with its Instant Power System at this year’s CES

Are you confused? Well, let me explain. The Swippitt Instant Power System basically consists of the Swippitt Hub and Swippitt link. The former is the toaster-looking gadget that I mentioned earlier, while the latter is a case that goes on your phone. For now, those cases are available only for iPhones (14, 15, and 16), but Swippitt plans to change that later this year when Android will become a part of the equation as well.

How does this work, exactly? Well, the Swippitt Hub basically replaces the battery inside the Swippitt Link when you put your phone inside the Hub. It does that in a couple of seconds, and you’re good to go, no need to charge your phone. Yes, it physically replaces the battery, as the Hub itself has five batteries on the inside. Once one gets replaced, the Hub charges it, while your phone gets an already-charged one.

It sure is an interesting approach to keep your phone’s battery charged

It’s actually a very interesting approach to providing battery charge to your phones. This way you never have to charge your device, as long as you’re willing to get this system and keep the case on your phone. We’re not sure what changes will be made for Android devices, but we do expect things to be similar. A 3,500mAh battery sits inside the Swippitt Link, at least for iPhones. The battery capacity could change for Android phones, we’ll see.

The Swippitt Instant Power System was one of our biggest surprises at this year’s CES, that’s for sure. It was very fun watching teh Swippitt Hub do its thing and essentially replenish our iPhone’s battery life in no time. CES never ceases to amaze, as it always churns out interesting stories, such as the Swippitt’s.
