Bharat Mobility Global Expo Live: Maruti Suzuki India aims to become number one EV producer in a year, says CEO
Unveiling its first electric vehicle (EV), e Vitara, at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on Friday, Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) claimed it aims to become number one producer of EVs in India in the next one year. It will roll out its first product in the second half of this calendar year.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, MSIL, said: “In terms of production volume of EVs, as an original equipment manufacturer, we are targeting to become number one EV manufacturer in India within one year.”

Bharat Mobility Global Expo Live: Suzuki Motorcycle India unveils three new products
Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, on Friday presented a diverse range of multi-pathway two-wheeler mobility solutions at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, under the theme ‘Spectrum of Mobility’.
At the forefront is the company’s first electric scooter, the e-ACCESS, a significant step towards electric mobility. Alongside this, Suzuki Motorcycle India launched the all-new Access, reborn with classic urban design, powerful and efficient engine, and a host of advanced features to elevate everyday commuting.
Expanding the spectrum further, they also launched its first E-85 fuel compliant motorcycle for the Indian market, the GIXXER SF 250 Flex Fuel, a sports bike designed to drive India towards a carbon neutral society.
