Seeing as how humans have encroached upon a lot of land that animals used to call home, it’s nice to give back once in a while, like with bird feeders and bird baths. If we can ensure our avian friends have somewhere to get their food from, drink from, and frolick around in, we’re all for it! This year at CES 2025, Birdfy is expanding its portfolio with a new smart bird bath.
Smart bird bath
Birdfy might be known amongst birdwatchers for creating smart bird feeders. This year at CES, the company has taken the wraps off the Bath Pro. This is actually similar to devices like the Bird Buddy, but with some design changes. The Bird Buddy combines a bird feeder and bird bath into a single device.
The Birdfy Bath Pro is a pure bird bath. The company has even designed it so that there’s a little fountain in the middle which is honestly all kinds of cute. The Bath Pro comes with built-in cameras – a 2MP camera with 1080p video, and a 3MP camera that can shoot 2K video.
Birdfy has gone one step further by integrating AI into the bird bath. The use of AI will help spot bathing birds and snap a photo so that you can come home to a bunch of happy birds playing around in your bird bath. Users can opt to pay a monthly subscription which upgrades the AI model. The upgraded model can actually identify the species of the bird, if that’s your kind of thing.
The Birdfy Bath Pro is priced at $250 for the standalone bath. There’s another model with a stand that will cost an extra $50. Pre-orders for the Birdfy Bath Pro are now live for those who are interested. The company mentions on its website that it expects to begin shipping pre-orders in March 2025.
Birdfy Feeder 2 Duo
In addition to the Bath Pro smart bird bath, Birdfy also announced the Feeder 2 Duo. This is a bird feeder that comes with two different camera angles. This will give users more angles to take photos of birds who are coming to eat at the feeder. It also features its own upgraded algorithm, which Birdfy says will “automatically [deliver] perfect bird photos”. Birdfy says that it will be able to identify bird species, similar to the AI used in the Bath Pro. It is priced at $420 and you can place a pre-order from the company’s website.
