Blackweek’s Founders Have a Plan to Create the ‘Black Davos

On Friday (Oct. 18), a separate track called Blackweek Connect will offer workshops on topics including AI and culture, leadership, and Gen Z and Gen Alpha. In partnership with WPP, there will also be an invite-only business expo, allowing entrepreneurs to network and share knowledge on business development, funding, and planning

For Blackweek 2025 and beyond, Anthony wants to continue to shine a light on the global economic impact of Black and Brown consumers with tech, money, and culture as its main pillars. Nelson echoed this sentiment and hopes the event is “evergreen,” noting plans to expand its social media and podcasting presence.

“It’s our responsibility to reflect the audiences we serve,” she said.

Geer hopes Blackweek will come full circle, growing into an event that facilitates job opportunities, investments, and acquisitions for Black and diverse communities.

“We want people to walk away from this event being inspired to do more, to activate more, and to understand the power in community and the power of bringing us to the table,” said Geer. “We represent billions of dollars of buying power.”
