Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office launches new smartphone app – KPLC

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) has launched a new smartphone app to help keep Southwest Louisiana informed.

With the app, users can quickly access items of public interest such as scam alerts, jail information, a list of sex offenders, and Sheriff’s Sales, according to the sheriff’s office. Users can also submit tips to CPSO and pay tax, ticket, or court fines on the app.

“This app will make it easier for our community to stay informed, report tips, and connect with our office quickly and conveniently,” Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory said. “By downloading the app and allowing notifications in your phone settings, you will also be able to receive emergency notifications directly from CPSO.”

The app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, which specializes in mobile app development for sheriff’s offices and public safety organizations across the country, CPSO said.

The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play, by searching “Calcasieu Parish Sheriff, LA.”
