Car vs. hydrant crash leaves Herriman neighborhood without water – KUTV 2News

Residents of Herriman were left without water early Friday morning after a vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant, causing a water main break.

The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. on Nov. 28 in the Copper Creek Estates community.

Herriman City Communications Manager Jon LaFollette said the crash ruptured a pipe, sending water pouring into the street. Utility crews quickly responded and shut off water service to contain the problem.

Water service was restored by 3 a.m. to homes along Copper Mine Drive between Ticaboo Mine Road and Slick Rock Cove.
