Cargo transportation grows to 32.8 million tons in 8 months
AKIPRESS.COM – The volume of cargoes transported by all kinds of transport in January-August 2024 increased by 2.6 million tons or 8.5% to 32.8 million tons compared to the previous year, the National Statistical Committee reported.
In August 2024, freight transportation increased by 0.5 million tons or 11.8% compared to August 2023 and remained unchanged compared to July 2024.
59% of all transported cargoes were handled by sole proprietors.
