Cars were submerged in floodwater as 261mm (10.28 inches) of rain lashed Hervey Bay, Queensland, in about four-and-a-half hours on Sunday, March 9.
Footage posted to TikTok shows residents walking in knee-high waters and vehicles submerged in floodwaters as the deluge continued to smash the area.
“Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours,” the Bureau of Meteorology had warned. Credit: @adventures.of.jesss via Storyful
