The OnePlus 13R will become official on January 7 along with the global version of the OnePlus 13, and while we’re waiting for that to happen, official cases of the two phones have surfaced. This leak comes from Sudhanshu Ambhore.
The official OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R cases shown by tipster
He shared images of four cases, along with their seemingly official names. Three OnePlus 13 cases are shown here, and one OnePlus 13R case. The Sandstone Magnetic Case of both smartphones is shown here, as you can see below.
If you’ve ever had a Sandstone Case from OnePlus, you know exactly what to expect. A sandpaper-like finish on the back, but at a much lesser scale than actual sandpaper. OnePlus toned it down over the years. The point is, it should offer some grip.
The other two cases that the tipser shared are the OnePlus 13 Aramid Fiber Magnetic Case and OnePlus 13 Wood Grain Magnetic Half-pack case. You can see both of them below.
Pitaka is well-known for selling Aramid Fiber cases for some devices. Based on that, we do expect this case to be quite thin, and yet offer plenty of durability as well. You can see a pattern on the back of the case shown here.
Many people requested a wood grain case, and OnePlus will deliver
The second case in the gallery above is the Wood Grain Magnetic Half-pack case. For those of you who loved OnePlus’ wood grain cases in the past, this will be an ideal choice.
As you can see based on their names, all of these cases are adding a magnetic factor to the equation. In China, OnePlus announced some magnetic accessories for the OnePlus 13, so those will likely be coming to global markets as well.
You’ll be able to magnetize a power bank to the back of the phone, or a wallet, if you choose to do so. The OnePlus 13 also supports wireless charging, but its OnePlus 13R will not.
