Chris Martin‘s daughter is definitely the apple of his eye.
In a cover story interview with Rolling Stone on Thursday, Dec. 19, the Coldplay frontman spoke about his daughter Apple Martin‘s deb ball that took place in Paris in November.
The event was “so not something I ever thought I’d do, but because I’m so in love with her, I’m like, ‘OK,’ ” Chris, 47, said of his 20-year-old daughter.
Gwyneth Paltrow joined Chris and Apple at the Le Bal des Débutantes on Saturday, Nov. 30 with whom he shares Apple and his son Moses. The family all wore Valentino, with Apple’s dress taking 750 hours to make, as per Vogue.
Paltrow’s mother Blythe Danner also attended the chic event.
At one point during the ball, Chris and Apple shared a sweet father-daughter dance where they chatted and laughed.
Chris also joked about how he enjoys embarrassing Moses, 18, in the Rolling Stone interview. “I like [my kids] very much. Even though they’re not biologically mine — I’m breaking the story now,” he quipped.
“My favorite new thing to embarrass my son is, if we’re walking down the street and someone comes up to us and they say, ‘I’m sorry to disturb you while you’re with your son,’ I say, ‘That’s not my son. That’s my partner.’ ”
The “Sparks singer added, “Yeah. I like them a lot. I think they are mine, to be fair.”

The musician did note that with Apple and Moses off to college, it’s “sad” being an empty-nester.
“But of course it’d be weirder if they were still like, ‘I can’t leave.’ Then you’d be more worried,” he added.
Coldplay’s 10th studio album, Moon Music, was released on streaming platforms on Oct. 4.
