Circle to Search could be expanding beyond Google & Samsung devices

Google’s AI-powered Circle to Search feature might be expanding beyond Google and Samsung devices. Circle to Search functionality was launched alongside Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series earlier this year. Ever since, the feature has been exclusive to Samsung and Google smartphones, but it’ll soon change. According to well-known gadget tipster Yogesh Brar, the feature will make it to the devices of other brands.

Circle to Search feature may soon expand to Xiaomi and Vivo phones

The source suggests that the Circle to Search functionality is soon expanding to Xiaomi and Vivo smartphones. The change will allegedly happen by the end of this year. As expected, the feature will be available on the flagship smartphones from Xiaomi and Vivo. If the report is true, it will be the first time the Circle to Search feature will expand beyond Google and Samsung phones.

If you aren’t aware of Circle to Search, the feature allows you to search for anything without having to leave the app you are using. This feature allows you to simply draw a circle around text, photos, or even videos to search for the circled search.

The Upcoming Xiaomi 14T series could include Circle to search

The upcoming Xiaomi 14T flagship series smartphones could include Circle to Search. Just a few days ago, some Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro marketing materials were leaked online. These promo materials highlighted the Circle to Search feature on the upcoming products. As per promo images, these devices will also ship with other AI-powered Google products. They will feature Gemini-powered AI functionalities like AI Notes, AI Interpreter, AI Subtitles, and AI Voice Recorder.

As for Vivo, the company is all set to unveil its X200 series of flagship smartphones next month. These could be the company’s first handsets to include Circle to Search. Google has an ambitious goal of having Circle to Search on 200 million devices by the end of 2024. That goal should be fulfilled soon if more and more smartphone makers integrate this feature on their phones.
