GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Colorado Mesa University’s Auto Club is made up of about 50 students who share a passion for reconstructing cars.
The Foreign Aid auto body shop welcomed the club to use the shop’s equipment and space to get more hands-on experience working in the trade.
Jacob Reynolds, a club member told us, “We wanted to get some companies involved with CMU clubs. I walked into the store and said, ‘Hey, can we use your lift for a couple of hours?’”
The students brought a project car to operate and perform an engine removal on—among other things. The club hopes to continue partnering with local businesses in the future.
