Cruise over to the annual Chattanooga Motorcar Festival – NOOGAtoday

Just like the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California you’ve seen in the movies, the annual Chattanooga Motorcar Festival is driving its way over to the Scenic City Friday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 13, bringing world-class cars to the streets of the West Village.

This three-day event is presented by local contractor DeFoor Brothers + is known for its Concours d’Elegance event — where returning Chief Judge Mike Tillson and a panel will judge hundreds of vintage, historic, and classic cars.

DeFoor Brothers’ Director of Asset Management Ember Souchet said they wanted to make the festival more accessible to the community by lowering ticket costs down to $20 per person for the whole weekend.

“This event is bringing cars that go to shows all over the world, this event is bringing celebrities who go to shows all over the world,” Souchet said. “The fact that it’s in Chattanooga is actually really significant.”

While you can see a daily schedule online, we’re highlighting some new features you can expect.

  • A Luftgekühlt-curated display, aka Porsche’s air-cooled car productions from 1948 through 1998.
  • The Car Club Gathering — a free + open invite to display your car on Friday and Saturday.
  • The Jaguar Club — similar to the returning Ferrari Club, you can see 25 curated Jaguars inside Hotel Clemons.
  • A car-only parade on Saturday featuring 50 cars — departs at 11:30 a.m. from the Convention Center.
  • A football zone + brews being poured by Chattanooga Brewing Co.

The West Village will also be hosting its street festival series on Friday + Saturday where you can enjoy a laser show, vendors, and performers like stilt walkers.

Bonus: When attending the festival, you’re donating to Alzheimer’s research.
