Owners of electric vehicles who live in apartment blocks need the approval of the building’s general assembly before they can install a charging station in common access areas like garages.
According to a report on state broadcaster ERT on Saturday, securing the approval of 51% of flat owners is proving a challenge for many electric cars owners in Greece as there seems to be a lack of clarity regarding who ends up paying the bill.
In order to avoid problems, experts advise using only certified companies that can ensure legal standards are met. “In the event that objections are raised, a study by an electric engineer may be needed,” Dimitris Micharikopoulos, an expert on the issue, told ERT.
