Best Prices Today: Eureka J15 Pro Ultra
$849.96
I’m not going to beat around the bush – the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra is not a cheap robot vacuum by any means, since it’s £999.99/$1,000 before discounts. However, when you compare what this model can do with pricier rivals, you’ll appreciate that it’s good value.
There are robot vacuums, and then there’s the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra robot vacuum. This Eureka model is easily the brand’s best one yet – although the J15 Max Ultra, which we saw at CES, is set to eclipse it – and it’s designed to tackle both vacuuming and mopping without involving you too often, ticking one annoying task off your daily list.
To see how it compares with our top recommendations, have a look at our round-up of the best robot vacuums we’ve tested. And for more budget-friendly options, check out the best cheap robot vacuums we’ve tested.
Design and Build
- Elegant design
- No-tangle brush
- Large base station
The Eureka J15 Pro Ultra is a sleek device that features a ton of sensors that are ready to recognise the items the robot encounters on the ground, map your home, and carefully navigate around obstacles.
On its underside, the J15 Pro Ultra features a rubber no-tangle brush, a side brush, and two circular mopping pads, one of which can extend to the side to better reach corners and edges.
The station is fairly large, so make sure you have plenty of space for it. The front compartment houses the dust bag, while the top is occupied by two water tanks – one for clean water and one for dirty water.
The base station has multiple functions: collecting dust, refilling the vacuum with clean water and draining the dirty water, washing and drying the mop, cleaning the tray, and, of course, charging the device.
Performance & Features
- Powerful: 16,200 Pa
- Effective anti-hair wrap tech
- Washes and dries mop pads
Pairing the robot with the Eureka app only takes a few minutes as you connect it to the Wi-Fi network. The companion app allows you to fully customise how you want the J15 Pro Ultra to clean your home. There are quite a few cleaning modes to choose from, including vacuum-only, mop-only, or a combination of both. You can also schedule cleaning jobs whenever you need, or choose to clean specific rooms only.
Once the initial mapping process is complete, you can edit maps, name rooms, add furniture, set floor material, divide or merge rooms, create a cleaning order, and so on. Another cool thing is that you can also switch between a 2D and 3D map.

You can integrate the Eureka app with your go-to smart assistant, including Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri.
From the app, you can choose the suction level and path preferences, and when you want the robot to mop, you can select how much water you want it to use.
The J15 Pro Ultra handled everything like a pro, whether it was vacuuming hard floors or carpeted areas
You can also access the robot’s camera from the app. In this way, you can have it patrol your home and you can check the footage on your phone.
Don’t worry, it’s only when you enable this particular feature that the robot captures images of its surrounding environment. There’s a Privacy Policy that you won’t read but that you’ll have to agree to.

With 16,200 Pa of suction power, this robot vacuum delivers pretty amazing results across various surfaces. It does a good job of picking up dirt, debris, and even stubborn pet hair on both carpets and hard floors, making it a great option for pet owners.
Trust me, I have two dogs and a cat that are always chasing each other around the house like cartoon characters, and there’s a lot of fluff flying around. The J15 Pro Ultra handled everything like a pro, whether it was vacuuming hard floors or carpeted areas.
Bear in mind that it is fairly noisy in operation: not even the “Quiet” mode is silent, but it’s slightly better than what I get with my usual “Turbo” (as you’d expect).
The Eureka J15 Pro Ultra has several cameras that it uses to detect obstacles, ensuring it navigates around furniture, toys, and other stuff you’ve left on the floor. I found that it not only maps the home accurately and handles obstacles with care, but it also marks them on the map in the app.
For instance, it noted where the pets were positioned while it cleaned, marked their food bowls, noted where my office chair was, and so on. And when my cat stalks the robot, there are little paw prints everywhere on the map, which is fairly funny.
As we’re discussing pets, I should also describe the anti-tangle brush. This rubbery brush is actually one of the best I’ve seen on a robot vacuum, and not once have I had to untangle hair from it.
There’s more anti-hair wrap tech in the form of the “FlexiRazor”, which I came to love. This is a blade system that will cut hair from the brush roll when the machine returns to the base station.

Now, on to the mops. The J15 Pro Ultra takes mopping to the next level with the two rotating mops. These are far more efficient than pad-type mops. One of the mops even extends to reach corners and walls, which means it cleans areas other robot vacuums can’t.
The station is also highly efficient in cleaning the mops, using hot water to wash them. Its drying system also uses hot air, leaving mop pads clean and hygienic without any mildew concerns. Unlike other robot vacuums I’ve tested, this one actually seems to stop the mops from smelling horrible.
My go-to cleaning mode will have the robot vacuum first and mop afterward because I find it does such a good job at picking up dust and dirt and pet hair, leaving a clean area to then mop, thus eliminating any potential dirt streaks. Sure, it will take quite a bit longer to complete the job, but the result is *chef’s kiss*.
Despite its self-cleaning features, some components require regular attention, such as the sensors and the baseplate, where grime can build up over time.
The app will inform you when there’s a need to clean anything, refill the water tank, and so on. One note of warning: remember to check that the baseplate is clean more often than the app tells you to, because if the drain clogs, you’ll get water under the robot.
The Eureka J15 Pro Ultra also does a superb job at avoiding obstacles. I was actually impressed because it approached socks and other items I left on the floor with caution, as if trying to figure out if they could be avoided, moved, or cleaned around.
It did get tangled in one of the charger cables at one point, however, so you may want to ensure you pick those up from the floor.
Price & Availability
If you’re in the UK, you can buy the J15 Pro Ultra from Amazon for £999.25 at the time of writing. In the US, it’s currently $849.96, also on Amazon.
Obviously, this is a lot of money but compared to models with a similar feature set from rivals Dreame and Ecovacs, it’s good value. Still, there are models from Shark (the PowerDetect NeverTouch 2-in-1) and Eufy (the X10 Pro Omni) that cost significantly less. You’ll still get most of the same features but the overall experience and cleaning quality isn’t quite as high.
