HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Nearly a dozen cars were reportedly damaged after a tractor trailer lost a part on the interstate.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers state around 9:40 p.m. Saturday night, the tractor trailer was headed east on Interstate 10, going through Holmes County.
Troopers said around mile marker 114, the tractor trailer lost its driveshaft, which is a part that connects to the wheels under the truck itself. Troopers said 11 cars hit the driveshaft as they were driving down the interstate and were damaged.
Troopers said, thankfully, all the cars were able to pull over onto the shoulder of the road and no injuries were reported. Troopers said the tractor trailer driver, a 41-year-old man from Fort Stockton, Texas, was also uninjured in the incident.
