Fiery Semi Crushes Police Car During Chase

We’ve seen police chases with all kinds of vehicles, from little scooters to golf carts, muscle cars, U-Haul trucks, and more. But there aren’t too many pursuits involving a suspect in a semi-truck. That makes this footage out of Columbus, Ohio all the more exciting, combined with fire and a cop car getting crushed.

Watch a guy crash his Porsche 911 GT3 immediately.

Immediately, this chase footage kicks off with sparks shooting out of the trailer’s chassis. When the trucker drives right over the island in a roundabout, those sparks ignite a trail of fluid left behind in a scene that’s surreal.

As the truck keeps driving, it continues to leave a trail of fire in the road for a few hundred feet. That alone would scare a regular person. After all, what would happen if the liquid, which is probably fuel, ignited all the way to the source in the truck? We’ve seen that happen and the resulting blaze often envelopes the vehicle in the blink of an eye.

Behind the wheel of a big rig, our suspect tries using it as a weapon against law enforcement. This guy tries reversing into one officer. Later on as he’s turning left through an intersection, he swings wide enough to crush a police cruiser that’s parked in the cross traffic lanes.

Being a criminal genius, the driver blacks out the 18-wheeler with its stark white trailer and sparks shooting out from the chassis. It’s almost like the guy doesn’t get what blacking out is supposed to accomplish.

The chase comes to an abrupt end after the truck hits a vehicle in the road, pushing it all the way to the opposite shoulder. Our suspect drives through an intersection, angles right to one of the corners, runs up into a parking lot, then jumps out and runs for it. Without a big truck to push everyone around, he gets chased down and arrested quickly.
