OnePlus has started rolling out the very first global update to the OnePlus 13
With that being said, the update is marked as CPH2655_15.0.0.402(EX01), at least in the US. That update weighs 1.06GB, so it’s definitely not a small update file. You may want to make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi before proceeding.
The update is also rolling out in stages. Just because our unit received it, doesn’t mean it’s available to everyone. It may take a bit of time before everyone gets it, as per usual.
Camera updates are the most notable additions, but that’s not all
With that being said, the main focus of this update is camera upgrades, but that’s not all. Let’s get everything else out of the way, and then we’ll talk about what’s new in the camera department.
With this update, OnePlus added a Touch to share feature that supports iOS devices. You’ll be able to share photos and files easily. IPv6 connectivity over Wi-Fi has been optimized, while Bluetooth connections in general have been improved, and the same goes for network stability.
The December 2024 Android security patch is also included
Audio quality has also been improved, and the charging status has been added to Live Alerts. System stability and performance has been improved in general, and this update also delivers the December 2024 Android security update to the OnePlus 13.
Some AI features have been added to Google Messages, and you can now also add the 1 x 2 Weather widget to the home screen. OnePlus improved the look and feel of the step tracker widgets, and the same goes for the ‘Storage cleaner’ widget.
Quite a few camera changes have been issued
When it comes to the ‘Camera’ section, there are six entries there. OnePlus added various styles and personalization to Watermark, including Hasselblad, Master’s signature, Film, Classic camera, and more.
The clarity of previews and photos in Portrait and Photo modes has also been improved. The clarity of videos shot in 4K at 60 fps has been boosted as well, and the same goes for the color performance of photos taken with the main camera and telephoto lens in portrait mode.
OnePlus also fixed an issue where photos ended up being too bright when taken with the rear camera in photo mode. The last camera change improves the tone and color accuracy of photos taken with the rear camera in Photo mode.
