The OnePlus 13R is now getting its very first software update. This phone launched around a week ago, and now OnePlus is pushing out some improvements to its global variants. That includes European, Indian, and North American versions of the device.

The update in question is marked as OxygenOS 5.0.0.403, and it’s rolling out in batches. In other words, not all phones are getting it at the same time, so you may have to wait for a bit. OnePlus wants to make sure there are no last-minute bugs or anything like that.
In any case, there are 10 different entries in the changelog that OnePlus highlighted. The first one is related to Apps. This update adds a new feature to OnePlus’ Photos app, a feature for personalized watermarks.
In the ‘Communication & interconnection’ section, there are several mentions. This udpate adds a Touch to share feature that supports iOS devices, OnePlus says. That makes it easier to share your photos and files.
It also improves the stability of Wi-Fi connections and improves the stability and expands the compatibility of Bluetooth connections.
OnePlus has brought a couple of camera-related improvements too
In regards to the Camera, OnePlus fixed an issue where photos ended up being too bright when taken with the rear camera. This update also enhances teh colors in photos taken with main and telephoto cameras in Photo mode.
The last camera-related change has to do with camera performance and stability in general, it has been improved.
The last section is the ‘System’ section on the OnePlus 13R. OnePlus has added a charging status to Live Alerts. The company has also added a December 2024 Android security patch to the mix, and improved system stability and performance in general via a number of tiny fixes.
