A FORD van has been transformed into an Infrared sauna powered by the vehicle’s battery.
Experts have kitted out the Transit into a fully custom model which has a separate changing area to the main sauna space.

Engineers have jumped on the trend, converting a regular vehicle into a traditional wooden interior made from Canadian pine.

A surprisingly roomy interior has meant sauna goers do not even have to leave the Transit to change with a glass partition dividing the space.
The luxurious experience all takes place in the custom-built cargo area.
With the E-Transit’s range being up to 196 miles, a return trip could be on the cards for those wanting a sauna to go.
Motorists won’t have to hook up to an external power supply when stationary either.
Waterskier Dush Lukic said: “I think it is a great idea and if you can get it to the lakes where they don’t have a natural facility, I think it will be a ‘wow’.
“For the swimmers and the skiers who are skiing in zero temperatures, or low single digit temperatures and the water is still six to eight degrees, it carries fantastic benefits.”
Delivered just in time for summer, the Sauna Van means those new to cold water swimming can get back up to temperature faster.
The first of its kind, the van is gearing up for its maiden voyage.

Ellie Mullins who runs the Longside Lake has her own take on the benefits of wild swimming said: “It’s a really cool idea. Somebody said it would be cool to have it at a festival or something, or even just rock up to more remote beaches.”
