Galaxy S25 & Galaxy S25+ cameras will be dust magnets

The Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ cameras will be dust magnets, it seems. Why? Well, because of their design. It seems like a new design is coming, but only for those two models, not the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

This was revealed by Ice Universe, one of the most accurate tipsters out there. He shared an image via his Weibo page, and you can see it below. This shows the new design of the rear cameras on the two devices.

Galaxy S25 camera island leak

Each of the cameras do protrude out, and that alone is enough for dust to settle there, as each of the cameras is its separate island. On top of that, here you have to levels of width. The top level is wider than the bottom one.

Needless to say, dust will easily get under the top level. Considering this design, keeping those camera protrusions clean will be an even more difficult task. We’re not sure why Samsung went with this design, but there you have it.

As many of you know by now, we’ve exclusively revealed the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 designs not long ago. Those two devices, and the Galaxy S25+, are coming in early 2025.

The entire Galaxy S25 series is expected to arrive in Q1 2025

If Samsung aims to stick to its release cycle, all phones will launch in January next year. They will have even thinner bezels this time around. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will have flat sides too this time around, and its corners will be slightly rounded.

All three of these phones will be high-end devices, needless to say. They’ll include a flagship processor, and all the other high-end components you’d expect. We’re not expecting major improvements in the camrea department, though, at least as far as hardware is concerned. Well, based on the Galaxy S25 Ultra report that arrived recently.
