Galaxy Tab S10 pre-registrations now live; first in India

Samsung Galaxy tablet fans are in for a treat as the next-gen models are just around the corner. According to leaks, the Galaxy Tab S10 series will be arriving this September. Now, ahead of the official launch, Samsung has opened the pre-registration stage for the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup.

As spotted by SamMobile, the South Korean giant is already enabling the pre-registration page on its official website for the new tablets. For now, the page seems to be available only for people in India. However, Samsung websites in other regions are expected to get it in the next few hours. As usual, those who participate in the pre-registration stage can expect to get discounts or even freebies with the purchase. The website mentions a discount of Rs 1,000 and “benefits worth Rs 3,499.”

Samsung will change some things with its Galaxy Tab S10 series

Regarding the Galaxy Tab S10 series, some major changes are expected. However, the changes are more related to a shakeup of the lineup than revolutionary tech specs. In recent years, Samsung has launched three Galaxy Tab models in each new generation. But leaks revealed that the new series will only bring two models: Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Samsung is reportedly ditching the base model, perhaps to bet on an FE model later on.

MediaTek chipsets will be used more often

Also, the company will implement Mediatek chips instead of the usual Snapdragon ones. It will be interesting to see how fans of the series react to the change, as they have become accustomed to getting tablets powered by Qualcomm hardware for years. However, MediaTek’s latest Dimensity chips are also quite powerful and can compete against Snapdragon chips. Anyway, the change is probably a cost-cutting measure.

Lastly, the pre-registrations page does not include the official release date of the Galaxy Tab S10 series, but leaks claim that the company will launch them on September 26.
