Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has much improved display crease: Video

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition launched quite recently, and it managed to attract a lot of attention. Many people are saying this smartphone represents what the Galaxy Z Fold 6 should have been.

Video shows the much improved Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition display crease

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition not only has an improved camera setup, and is much thinner, but it also comes with a much improved display crease. By that I mean a much less noticeable display crease, of course.

That is something that Ice Universe, a well-known tipster, demonstrated on Twitter. He used the Samsung W25, actually, which is the equivalent to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in China. It’s a lot heavier thanks to the ceramic backplate, but the crease is the same on both phones.

It’s compared to the OPPO Find N3’s crease in the provided video

In any case, you can check out the crease in the video above. It is compared to the OPPO Find N3’s crease, which is already minimal. The Samsung W25 is the phone at the bottom, by the way.

The two implementations are a lot different, and quite frankly you won’t notice either crease when looking at the phone straight on. I actually stopped noticing it on the OPPO Find N3 really fast, in all honesty.

It would be interesting to see a side-by-side comparison of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, in terms of their crease, of course. The Galaxy Z Fold 6’s is much more noticeable than this.

Do note that the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition likely won’t be making its way to more markets. It arrived to Korea and China, and based on a report prior to launch, those are the only two markets that it will launch in… unfortunately. There is still a chance, but it’s small.
