The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition keeps on selling like hotcakes in Samsung’s homeland
The initial batch of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition units sold out in ten minutes. It took even less with the second batch, even though we don’t know how many units exactly were made available. Chances are that the number was not high, though.
This smartphone was announced not long ago in South Korea, Samsung’s homeland. It’s a new version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, kind of, but it comes with improved hardware. It’s not only thinner, but it has a better camera setup too.
This smartphone is expected to make its way to China too, but under a different name. Based on reports that we’ve seen, it won’t be making its way to any more markets, however, unfortunately.
This phone has a number of advantages over the Galaxy Z Fold 6
In addition to the camera and thinness advantage, this smartphone also comes with larger displays than its sibling. It also has a less noticeable crease, and ships with more RAM than the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
As if that’s not enough, it also comes with Wi-Fi 7 support, which is not something we can say for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This new model has a number of advantages over the Galaxy Z Fold 6, as you can see.
That’s actually why it’s a shame Samsung won’t push it to more markets, well, at least according to reports. We can see users being quite interested in this phone in other markets, especially the US and Europe.
Chances are that we’ll see these improvements in the Galaxy Z Fold 7, though, as Samsung is expected to finally make a significant step forward following a rather iterative update with the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
