Shopping the Black Friday sales can be challenging, especially if you want a new smartwatch, but this deal makes life much easier.
If you were considering a new Android-compatible smartwatch, we’d highly recommend the OnePlus Watch 2R right now as the best smartwatch for most people. It only comes in one spec, which makes things easier to price up and compare. The watch usually costs £249 in the UK, but OnePlus has dropped the price to just £169 for Black Friday.
That’s a rather appealing 32% discount, and you also get a choice of three free accessories to go alongside the watch.
You can pick between these options: Fluoro-Rubber Strap, Charging Base, and OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro in either Soft Jade or Starry black. In total, you could be getting £143.98 worth of extra gear for free in addition to the discounted watch.
Amazon actually has the Watch 2R available from £166.59, so a touch cheaper than OnePlus. However, you don’t get any of the free gifts.
Over in the US, there’s a similarly great deal on the smartwatch. The OnePlus Watch 2R usually costs $229.99, but OnePlus’ Black Friday offer means it’s available for only $169.99. That’s a slightly lower 26% discount compared to its British counterpart, and you only get one free strap. But it’s still a decent saving if you were eyeing up this watch already.
However, if you want to get one of these deals, you’ll need to be quick. OnePlus’ Black Friday sale is due to end after Cyber Monday on 2 December, but with items on offer, they may sell out of this smartwatch before then.
Sometimes less is more and although ‘R’ models from OnePlus are the downgraded versions of flagships we actually prefer the Watch 2R to the main OnePlus Watch 2.
It might not be available in a smaller size but the switch to lighter aluminium instead of stainless steel makes a big difference. It’s also cheaper but doesn’t come with any major downgrades to the specs.
