After months of delay, Google has finally released the Performance Loop Band for all Pixel Watch models. This “workout-friendly” band should handle active workouts.
Performance Loop Band for all Google Pixel Watch models now available
After confirming all of the different bands that the Google Pixel Watch 3 will have available, we were the first to reveal photos of most of those bands. However, back then, the Performance Loop Band and the Active Sport Band were missing from the lineup.
The Performance Loop Band for all the Pixel Watch models, has finally launched. Google assures that with this band, the Pixel Watch 3 can be “your new run buddy.”
The Performance Loop Band is reportedly made of “recycled polyester, nylon, and elastane yarns” and reinforced with stainless steel lugs. It is “micro-adjustable” (Velcro), which Google claims offers “just the right amount of stretch during workouts.”
The latest band for the Pixel Watch doesn’t have a water resistance rating. Instead, Google mentions water resistance as “workout-friendly”. This implies wearers can expect the band to support active workouts, but the band might not support underwater activities.
Specifications, features, price, and availability of the latest band
The Pixel Watch Performance Loop Band is available in 4 different colorways. However, there are five variants.
Specifically speaking, buyers can purchase the band in Obsidian, Porcelain, Wintergreen, and Peony. Google is offering two types of lug finishes with certain bands. For example, the Wintergreen variant has two lug colors (Champagne Gold and Hazel).
The Pixel Watch Performance Loop Band is available in 41mm and 45mm sizes. In other words, this band should work with all Pixel Watch models, from the first-generation Pixel Watch to the latest Pixel Watch 3.
Google has listed all the variants of the Pixel Watch Performance Loop Band on its official online store. The company is asking $59.99, irrespective of the color or lug finish.
With the latest band, Google has finally allowed Pixel Watch users to participate in rigorous workouts. Moreover, being an official Google-made band, it should offer a reliable and snug fit, something that 3rd party bands often struggle with.
