Google releases Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel Watch 3 ‘Design’ videos

The latest Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel 9 Pro smartphone now have their own “Design Of” videos published by Google. The “Made by Google” channel has revealed some interesting design choices as well as an unreleased watch face.

‘Made by Google’ video shows an unreleased watch face for the Pixel Watch 3

The Pixel Watch and the Pixel branded smartphones are “Made by Google”. The search giant doesn’t miss an opportunity to highlight that it can design sleek smartphones and wearables.

‘Made by Google’ usually releases promotional “design of” videos for its Pixel and Nest products. This time, Google has also published a video of the Pixel Watch 3. The brief video reveals an unreleased Concentric face for the smartwatch.

The main thumbnail of the “The Design of Pixel Watch 3” video reportedly shows a Concentric layout that’s not available to Google’s smartwatch users. It is quite similar to the “Dial I” watch face. However, there are four complications positioned between the minutes and seconds.

As evident from the video, battery percentage and heart rate occupy the bottom two slots. Interestingly, the watch face also shows VO2 Max (or cardio fitness score under Heart), which is not available in the Dial I interface.

The fourth complication shows two waves with a numerical value, which could indicate breathing rate. Needless to say, Google does not openly reveal this data. The company uses this data for overnight Health Metrics measurement.

‘Design of Pixel 9 Pro’ video highlights curves and camera

The “Design of Pixel 9 Pro” video focuses on the latest flagship smartphone’s curves and the rear camera island. This year’s camera bump on the Pixel smartphone is by far the largest seen on a Pixel device, and Google could be trying to highlight it as a feature.

During our review of the Google Pixel 9 Pro, we couldn’t help comparing the phone’s stunning design with the Apple iPhone. There are several similarities between the outer appearance of the two flagship smartphones. However, the most striking is the rounded corners, called “squircle”.
