LEXINGTON, Tenn. — One local county holds a special called meeting Thursday night to discuss budgets and to make some approvals for new transportation.
During Thursday night’s meeting the Henderson County Commission Board approved the sheriff’s office to receive new vehicles. Along with that,, a policy update was approved for the “Special Response Unit.”
The 2024-25 budget amendments were also submitted to be discussed. Commissioners will then approve the budget in the upcoming meetings. The airport resolution was also discussed.
“The county is the soul owner of that airport now. We’re excited about what it will be able to do there. It’s unfortunate that other entities got out of it but we’re very optimistic,” said Mayor Robbie McCready.
Mayor McCready also allowed for public comments but requested that those comments remained on topic to the agenda for time purpose.
