Here are the health features coming to the OnePlus Watch 3

The OnePlus Watch was a major disappointment and the OnePlus Watch 2 was the company’s redemption arc. The question now is where the OnePlus Watch 3 will take us. OnePlus is gearing up to unveil this upcoming wearable, but we’re getting information about it beforehand. Thanks to a new leak, we know about some of the health features the OnePlus Watch 3 could bring.

It’s important to know that we’re dealing with early information, so you’ll want to take it with a grain of salt. The folks at Android Authority, in collaboration with AssembleDebug, dug into the OHealth app’s data and discovered potential features that could come with the OnePlus Watch 3. OnePlus could yank any of these features before an official announcement, however.

These health features could come to the OnePlus Watch 3

Health has become a major part of the smartwatch experience, so some people base their purchase according to how many health features there are. The OnePlus Watch 2 came with a healthy amount of health features, but it looks like OnePlus has several more in store for its upcoming smartwatch.

For starters, the OnePlus Watch 3 could come with an ECG (electrocardiogram). This is a graph that measures changes in your heart’s electrical activity. It could be used to look for signs of conditions like Atrial fibrillation.

Next, there’s a feature called 60-second Checkup. This will do a quick checkup by measuring your heart health, blood vessel elasticity, and snoring. Using this tool, the watch will be able to get a snapshot of some pretty big health indicators.

Along with that, there’s the wrist temperature feature. This one’s self-explanatory, as it takes a measurement of your body temperature through your wrist. In order for this feature  to work properly, you’ll need to wear your watch to bed for at least five days. Also, at least one sleep session will need to be more than four hours.

Rounding out the list, OHealth will have a new Health tab. This will be a hub showing you important health information. Firstly, it will show you your “Health Journey”. This consists of your “important workout and health events for the day.” Next, your Health Insights will show you an overview of your health and stats.

At this point, we don’t know if the OnePlus Watch 3 will launch with all of these features. Also, we don’t know when these features will trickle down to the OnePlus Watch 2. Obviously, the company would want to keep some features exclusive to the newer watch for some time to move units.
