Ever since the Honor Magic 6 series launched, that Chinese OEM has commanded my attention. The Magic 6 smartphones, particularly the Pro model, were incredible, both in terms of design and performance. It’ll be hard for me not to consider an Honor flagship for my next device.
The Honor Magic 7 series launched in China in October and the global launch of the series is near. Thankfully, if you’re considering buying it, the exact European pricing has just spilled, along with a lot more information on the mysterious Magic 7 Lite that is expected to be joining the global release.
The Honor Magic 7 Pro Is Coming To Europe, Potentially Cheaper Than Its Predecessor
Honor won’t be bringing the entire Magic 7 series for its global launch, instead choosing its more competitive Magic 7 Pro to be the flagship in the actual sense of the word. We know that the phone will see a European launch, which is great, considering its high-end specs and how well it can compete with other big brand flagship Androids out there.
Most interesting is that the pricing on the Honor Magic 7 Pro in Europe may have just leaked from a retailer, and 91Mobiles was there fast enough to see it. If accurate, it could mean that the phone will be sold at a lower price than its predecessor, the Magic 6 Pro, despite all the upgrades it brings to the table.
The Magic 7 Pro seems set for €1,225.90 pricing for the 12/512GB model, which would put it at €75 less than the Magic 6 Pro in the same configuration. Keep in mind that you’re getting IP69 water resistance, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, an improved 200MP periscope telephoto camera, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a bigger battery, and faster wired and wireless charging. I’d take the pricing with a pinch of salt, but if true, then… wow.
The Honor Magic 7 Lite Has Its Pricing And Specs Unofficially Revealed; A Lot More Affordable
The Honor Magic 7 Pro might not be accompanied by the regular Honor Magic 7, but the still-unofficial Honor Magic 7 Lite will be its escort, offering a much cheaper device with a little bit of the same premium DNA. This device is going to come at a much lower €376.89 price tag for its 8/512GB variant, so temper your expectations accordingly.
Since the Lite model is still mostly a mystery, we’re thankful to have some specs elucidated by the retailer’s listing. For a mid-ranger, the spec sheet looks pretty solid.
You’ll be getting a 6.78-inch OLED panel with 2,700 x 1,224 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate (though it’s not likely to come with LTPO tech). Inside will be a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which is one area where you’re most likely to feel the Lite-ness at play. Another area is the camera setup, with a 108MP primary paired with a 5MP ultrawide and a 16MP selfie snapper. The battery is even bigger than the Pro model though, at 6,600mAh.
