Hisense's 2025 ULED TVs Are a Gamer's and Movie Buff's Dream

Ultimate Summary: Hisense is announcing its 2025 ULED TV lineup, including the U6, U7, U8, and U9 series. Pricing has not yet been announced, and these TVs should be available later this year.

Hisense has just announced its ULED TV lineup for 2025. Which consists of the U6, U7, U8 and U9 series, with bigger screens than ever before. The company is expanding its ultra-large screen options, providing even more 100″+ options for consumers. Hisense is not announcing pricing or availability just yet, other than saying these will all be “available later this year”.

First up is the U9. This is their Ultra Premium offering, which introduces a new 65″ model to go alongside their 75″ and 85″ options. Hisense has enhanced the peak brightness levels on this model to deliver breathtaking contrast and clarity, and an Ultra LR panel is able to help eliminate reflections. Giving you an ultra-wide angle viewing angle. It also includes Dolby IQ, IMAX Enhanced, and Filmmaker Mode, so you can get the best-looking picture possible.

Hisense also has a native 165Hz refresh rate here, with FreeSync Premium Pro and ALLM available for the best gaming experience. This is all thanks to the Hi-View AI Engine X chipset, which is the same chipset used in Hisense’s ULED X lineup.

Hisense U8 series offers a stunning MiniLED experience

The U8 series for 2025 is the company’s MiniLED offering, which they call “Best in Class MiniLED”. This provides best-in-class picture quality, ultra-smooth motion and immersive audio at an impressive price (despite Hisense not mentioning price yet). Peak brightness on the U8 goes all the way up to 5,000 nits and it also offers expanded local dimming zones. Allowing the U8 to reproduce deeper blacks, and more realistic colors.

With the U8 there is support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced, providing you with a cinema-like experience. Despite Sony using the “Cinema comes home” tagline, Hisense is giving them a real run for their money with the U8. It also offers 165Hz refresh rate natively, with MEMC and lightning fast response times.

Hisense U7 brings the ultimate TV experience below $1K

Hisense says that the U7 is the “ultimate mid-premium TV, delivering high-performance features at an accessible sub-$1k price point.” Meaning that this is likely going to be the TV that most people buy.

The U7 also has a native 165Hz refresh rate, providing you with smooth visuals in fast-paced games. There’s also 165Hz Game Mode Ultra, Game Booster 288Hz, VRR, ALLM, Dolby Vision Gaming, and FreeSync Premium Pro. Making this the perfect TV in this price point for gamers.

Hisense says that there is upgraded Dolby Atmos audio with 60W 2.1.2 multi-channel sound that will deliver rich, spatial sound. It is going to be available in sizes ranging from 55″ to 100″. Also runs on Google TV, with compatibility for Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Homekit.

The U6 series brings Fire TV onto a MiniLED Panel

Finally, we have the Hisense U6 series. This is the entry-premium lineup for the company that does also uses MiniLED and runs on Fire TV. Hisense is touting that the U6 is available in sizes up to 100″, making “large-format viewing more accessible than ever”.

The U6 does have all of the features that you’d expect from a premium TV these days. Including support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HDR10+ Adaptive, and other gaming technologies like ALLM and VRR. It also sports a 144Hz native refresh rate, which is lower than the other ULED models being announced today. However, that is still above most other TVs in the segment. It also has Game Mode Pro, FreeSync Premium, and WiFi 6.
