HONOR has announced the launch date of the HONOR Magic7 RSR Porsche Design handset. The phone will become official on December 23. Do note that we’re talking about a China launch here.
The HONOR Magic7 RSR Porsche Design launch date is now official
The HONOR Magic7 series was made official not long ago. Those two phones were announced at the very end of October, also in China. They’re expected to become global products in early 2025. The same actually goes for this Porsche Design handset.
Along with the event confirmation, HONOR also shared an image of the device, which you can check out below. The HONOR Magic7 RSR Porsche Design smartphone poses in two color variants here.
It’s coming in two color options
On the left, we have a gray model, while the purple variant is on the right. You can clearly see that the frame will be flat all around the device and that its physical buttons will sit on the right-hand side.
The backplate will be curved towards the edges, while that vertical line down the middle will be included too, as it was on the HONOR Magic6 RSR Porsche Design handset. HONOR is expected to use glass on the back here.
You can also clearly see that three cameras will be included inside this hexagon camera island. Main, ultrawide, and periscope telephoto cameras will be included, while the ‘Matrix Camera’ branding is also visible there. An LED flash also sits inside the camera island.
The HONOR Magic6 Pro and the RSR version of the phone did look different, but they had almost identica internals. The difference was visible in the RAM department, but that’s about it. Well, that will probably be the case here too.
This handset could end up including a titanium frame
The RSR model could also include a titanium frame, instead of an aluminum one. That was, at least, the case with last year’s model, so we’re basing our predictions based on that.
The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, while LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage will be used. A 50-megapixel main camera (variable aperture, 1/1.3-inch sensor size) will be backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
A 5,850mAh silicon-carbon battery is also expected, along with fast wired and wireless charging (100W and 80W, respectively). Android 15 will come pre-installed with MagicOS 9, and so on.
