With One UI 7, Samsung brought in a lot of changes to its skin that sits on top of Android. One of the changes is the new Now Brief. This is essentially a briefing that will give you relevant information – or at least info that Galaxy AI thinks is relevant. It’ll show things like the Weather, Samsung Health metrics, memories from the gallery, and some news, among other things. At first, it’s not super useful, as it does show just the weather, a news article, and maybe a link to YouTube Shorts. But as you use the phone more, that changes.
Of course, you can also customize what is shown in the Now Brief in Settings. Which is exactly what we’re going to show you today. It’s pretty easy to customize the Now Brief, and unfortunately, there are not a whole lot of settings available to customize. How to Customize the Now Brief on Samsung Galaxy S25
Open the Settings app on your Galaxy S25 (or any device running One UI 7).
Tap on Galaxy AI.
Now scroll down and tap on Now Brief. It’ll be towards the bottom of the page, above Health Assist.
Here, you can choose to expand the Now Brief without unlocking, so you can see it all from your home screen. This is off by default.
Next, if you tap on “Content to include” you can see everything that can be included in the Now Brief.
There is a toggle next to everything that can be included. Surprisingly, Samsung has Moments, Traffic Updates, and YouTube Shorts as the only options that are not enabled by default.
Here’s a list of everything that can be included:
- Health and Wellness
- Travel
- Events and tasks
- Routines
- Digital Wellbeing
- Communication
- Moments
- Gallery Stories
- Traffic Updates
- News
- Smart Home
- Music and podcasts
- YouTube Shorts
Toggle on, or off whichever content you want to be included in your Now Brief. And you’re all set.
Now when you open your Now Brief, you’ll see more of this content. Making the briefing a lot more useful.
