New on the Samsung Galaxy S25 series this year is Audio Eraser. This works a lot like what Google has on the Pixel 9 series, where it is able to erase six different types of audio from your video. Samsung let’s you do it yourself, or you can use AI to automatically remove the unwanted noise.
If you’ve ordered a Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus or Galaxy S25 Ultra, you might want to pay attention to this tutorial, as we show you how you can use Audio Eraser.
How to use Audio Eraser on Samsung Galaxy S25
Firstly, open the gallery app on your Galaxy S25 device. And navigate to the video you want to edit.
Now, while you’re previewing the video, tap on the Galaxy AI icon, which is the sparkle icon in the center. Or, you can tap on the Edit icon (the pencil icon) and then tap on the audio icon on the far right, and then tap on Audio Eraser.
Once the page loads up, you’ll be given a few options for Audio Eraser. You can tap on Auto to have Galaxy AI automatically remove different types of audio. Alternatively, you can choose the individual sounds that you want to turn up or turn down. These sounds include voices, noise, music, crowds, etc.
After you’ve edited the video, you can tap on “Hear Original” to hear the difference between the original and edited version, before saving it.
Once you are happy with the edited video, tap on Done and then Save Copy. This is going to preserve the original video, and save the edited version as a separate file.
That’s Audio Eraser. It’s a pretty useful feature for the Galaxy S25, especially if you tend to shoot a lot of video outdoors. This is going to be huge for YouTubers.
What sound can Audio Eraser get rid of?
Audio Eraser is able to identify and remove, or adjust the volume of six different types of sound. This includes Wind, Music, Speaker, Crowd, Noise and Nature. Samsung does a pretty good job of identifying these sounds as well, and they won’t all appear in every video that you want to edit. Only those sounds that AI is able to identify.
