Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4 affordable model has been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. The company is preparing to start mass-producing the upcoming cheap iPhone. The new model is expected to bring upgrades in several areas. We already know several details about the upcoming iPhone model, thanks to the rumor mill. Now, a new leak has revealed the iPhone SE 4 launch date, apart from some details regarding its camera module.
The iPhone SE 4’s launch date is set for March, suggests a new leak
According to the X user Jukanlosreve, Apple has set the iPhone SE 4’s launch date for March 2026. The earlier reports have also suggested a similar launch timeframe for the phone. Apple launched the previous iPhone SE model way back in March 2022. So the new leak corroborates with the other reports for a launch in March.
The iPhone SE 3 launched in March 2022, so a March 2025 release for the 4th iteration isn’t out of the question. However, this is still speculation. The official launch date could change.
iPhone SE 4 will arrive with a camera module made by LG Innotek
Furthermore, the South Korean news publication Aju News reports that the iPhone SE 4 will utilize a camera module made by LG Innotek. The LG subsidiary has reportedly decided to start mass-producing the camera module at some point in December. The company is currently conducting important tests ahead of mass production.
Also, LG usually supplies the camera modules about three months before a phone’s release. Considering this, the iPhone SE 4 may certainly launch in March next year. That said, if the reports are true, the iPhone SE 4 could feature a 48MP single-camera module. It will be a significant boost in the camera prowess than the last-gen model, which has a 12MP main snapper.
Furthermore, the iPhone SE 4’s camera module will sit at the top-left corner with the LED flash unit sitting below it. The device could borrow a 6.1-inch OLED display from the iPhone 13 model. It will be the largest in the lineup so far. That said, we can also expect improvements in the performance department as well. There also are rumors of an iPhone SE 4 Plus variant on the horizon.
