Is "Whoosh" really the screen cleaner that Apple stores use to clean the display of the Macbook Pros? Has that ever been confirmed? – MacRumors

I doubt Apple would be using any branded cleaning product because that would be like an endorsement. Although I could be wrong on this because on their cleaning support article, they mention Clorox wipes so basically an endorsement 🤷‍♂️

I would stick with the Apple recommendation. The biggest thing is to make sure you use a clean or maybe new microfiber cloth. If it has any debris like sand, you’re going to be dragging that across your screen. I have one specifically for my screen and don’t use it for anything else.

Here is a quote from the Apple support article

To clean the screen on your MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air, first shut down the computer and unplug the power adapter. Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water only, then use it to clean the computer’s screen.

To clean hard-to-remove smudges or fingerprints on the display or exterior of your Mac, you can use a cloth moistened with a 70-percent isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution to gently wipe the display or enclosure of your Mac laptop.
