Latest advancements in auto industry on display for North Carolina International Auto Expo – WRAL News

— As of Friday, the Raleigh Convention Center is home to hundreds of brand new vehicles.

Thousands of car enthusiasts are flocking to the convention center to get a look at the latest in the industry during the annual North Carolina International Auto Expo, which is back for its 35th year.

The convention center’s 150,000 square feet of space are filled with every type of ride possible, including brand new Ferraris, Porsches, Hummers and more.

This year, the expo is all about ‘charging into the future,’ and focusing on the latest technology and electrical advancements in the industry. Expo organizers said they have made it a priority to have the newest electric vehicles on display.

“We’re seeing chargers being put up all over Wake County right now, so we can kind of see that we are going towards the electric electrification of that,” said Nicholas Crossley, with Hendrick Automotive Group. “To see companies, like VinFast, that are building factories right here in our home state — it’s really exciting to see.”

The expo will run Friday-Saturday.
