Lexus GX owners complain about cars “melting” under heat – Forma car News

Having transitioned into its next generation in 2023 (see video), the Lexus GX has garnered plenty of negative feedback from drivers in the United States, who claim that the body becomes so hot it may leave burns when touched.

According to The Drive, a number of owners have reported their side mirror covers softening and becoming permanently deformed under direct sunlight. Others have reported black plastic trim on the doors literally melting from the heat.

Lexus hasn’t commented on these reports yet, but the social media posts related to this issue so far suggest that no special conditions are required for it to manifest – anyone leaving their GX outdoors for several days is at risk.
