LG's 2025 QNED Evo TVs support wireless 4K, 144Hz refresh rates

LG has announced its new QNED Evo lineup of TVs for 2025, and there are some truly exciting improvements to look forward to. These enhancements do everything from boosting color with proprietary wide color gamut tech to bringing wireless 4K video transmission to more TV models. “The 2025 QNED evo Lineup Boasts Unprecedented Technological Advancements,” LG says.

Many of LGs TVs are some of the best on the market and it’s precisely due to their wide array of advanced features. This includes technology that boosts color to appear more natural. With regard to the improved wide color gamut in the 2025 lineup, this new tech allows colors to be portrayed as accurately as they appear to the human eye in real life. LG calls this the Dynamic QNED Color Solution and it replaces the quantum dots, while lights from the backlight are expressed as pure colors.

So you end up with colors on-screen that look so real it’s as if those colors are physically in front of you off-screen.

The 2025 LG QNED lineup brings true wireless 4K video transmission to more models

For those who hate cables and cords, this is probably the more exciting part of LG’s announcement. Not too many TVs support wireless video transmission. So the fact that LG is expanding support of this tech is easily something for consumers to look forward to. LG already offers true wireless 4K video transmission on some TVs. However, prior to its 2025 lineup, it was only available on its most high-end OLED evo model. Which was the M-Series.

Now, LG is bringing this to the 2025 QNED lineup. Which means more people will be able to experience the feature. What this does is allow you to hook up your TV with nothing more than a power cable. Everything that you would normally plug into it using HDMI cables is connected to a separate Zero Connect Box. Then, video is transmitted from that box to the TV wirelessly. LG confirms that this feature on its 2025 QNED TVs will support up to 4K resolution. It even supports a 144Hz refresh rate. Meaning it’ll be perfectly suitable for gaming.

Importantly, LG also confirms this transmission happens without loss of picture quality or delay. Because of this feature expansion, 2025 LG QNED evo owners can more easily organize their setups. In other words, you won’t be required to place consoles and other electronics right next to or under the TV. LG says AMD FreeSync Premium is supported as well.

Audio becomes clearer thanks to AI improvements

LG is also improving the audio quality of its 2025 QNED evo lineup. LG states that this is all thanks to the α8 AI Processor.  This processor doesn’t just improve the audio though. It also improves the AI upscaling, as well as HDR effects and lighting. “Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro breaks down each scene to fine-tune HDR effects and brightness for each zone,” LG says.

In terms of the audio, LG boasts that the AI processor can convert it. For example, instead of getting normal 2-channel audio, it’s converted to virtual 9.1.2-channel audio. LG says this gives it a richer sound experience. So audio should be more immersive and room-filling. These new TVs come with a new AI Magic Remote as well. The key detail here is the new AI button, which users can press to access several features. Such as AI-assisted recommendations for what to watch.

LG says the 2025 QNED evo lineup will now range from 40 inches all the way up to 100 inches. The 100-inch option will be the new size. However, LG does not mention anything about availability or pricing for any of these new models. It does however say that this information is coming at a later date. With that in mind, you can check out LG’s current crop of QNED TVs at the company’s website.
